Why should you have to do all of the hard work? The most effective way to promote your organisation is to show examples of the people or causes you’ve helped. Much of the same information found in specific articles can also be given through the testimonials of your supporters. Show your clients or supporters through case histories, profiles and customer new, And by welcoming new customers or members.
Keep a list of the customer comments and ideas you hear as part of daily operations. Include news of customers through:
- Customer quotes
- Letters and e-mail from customers
- Ideas on creative uses of your products and services
- Customer reviews
- Answers to customer surveys
- Stories of how you solved specific customer problems with one of your products or services
- List of customer suggestions
Case histories. Case histories are your success stories. They explain how a client saved money, solved a problem or increased sales by using your product or services. The person in your case history essentially does the promoting for you.
A case history should describe the problem your client had and how you helped solve it. It’s important to choose your case histories carefully. You should select either rare application that applies to most of your readers. Rare occurrences are usually intriguing, common applications attract readers with similar problems. For a common application story, take your readers most common need and then find a satisfied customer who is willing to be featured.
Donations to community groups increase when they highlight the individuals they are helping. People relate to pictures and stories about specific people better than to names of entire communities or countries.
