How wide do you want that? Poster and Banner paradise comes to Print Buying Direct…
Maybe it is the wide, flat Cheshire plain that provides inspiration for Print Buying Direct, the Cheshire printers with a UK reputation for providing customers with exactly the product and service they are looking for.
Whatever the reason, poster professionals from Preston to Portsmouth and marketers from Manchester to Maidstone have grins as wide as the Forth Bridge with the announcement that the company will start a new wide format printing service from January 2010.
Print Buying Direct are investing in a wide format printer from Mimaki which means that they are now taking orders for posters as wide as 1300mm “and as long as you like”, according to Joint Managing Director Peter Harrison.
“We are starting the New Year in exactly the same way as we finished the old one, investing in new technology to deliver a better service and more creative options for our customers”, said Peter.
“The recession is making consumer-based businesses more competitive than ever with everyone chasing the consumer pound. Marketing departments throughout the country are looking for new ways of saying ‘Look at this product!’ and drawing attention to their offer. “Big posters are a great way of doing that, either on the exhibition stand with a pull-up banner or a stunning visual as backdrop to the stand itself or even out on the road or on outdoor sites”.
The new printer means that big, short-run posters are now just a phone call away with A2 posters, A1 posters and even A0 posters available for quick delivery.
For customers of Print Buying Direct, marrying the poster-printing service to the in-house design studio means that they do not even need print-ready artwork. “Given a decent brief we can supply scaled-down artwork proofs to customers, tweaking changes until everyone is happy and we can then get it on to the new press”, Peter pointed out.
“Our graphic designers think all their birthdays have come at once as they enjoy designing on a big canvas and now we have given them one of the biggest.
“Many businesses associate printers with newsletters, brochures, flyers and appointment cards and, although we obviously do all of those, we are only constrained by the imagination of our customers.
“There has recently been a spate of wonderfully creative poster advertising on buses, for example, and the beauty of the Mimaki is that we can produce stunning, high-impact posters for both indoor and outdoor applications”.
In short, poster paradise has come to Print Buying Direct. Needless to say, the service they are offering is UK-wide….
